The SYMBIOS HANDSET offers differnt dive modes, which can be selected in menu/SETTINGS//DIVE MODE.
The user can choose between the following modes:
▪OC - Open Circuit Mode, suitable of Air, Nitrox and Mix Gas Diving
▪CCR - Closed Circuit Rebreather Mode with pO2 sensor readout
▪CCR FIX SP - Closed Circuit Rebreather Mode with fixed pO2 setpoints
▪BOTTOM TIMER - Bottom timer mode, no decompression calculations are carried out
▪SIDEMOUNT - Sidemount diving mode for diving with 2 separate diving tanks
In Bottom timer mode, the dive computer is not performing any decompression calculations or compartment saturation updates.
It would be dangerous to perform use a dive computer in a different setting after using it in bottom timer mode, as decompression information could be wrong.
Therefore, after diving in bottom timer mode, within 24h it is not possible to change to a different dive mode.
